Make it Beautiful
Hi, I’m Daniel Meaux, and I run Lucky Grace Studios here in Lafayette, Louisiana.
What began as a small hobby about three years ago quickly turned into a real passion. One afternoon in my garage, I decided to refinish a little end table—cleaned it up, added fresh paint, re-stained and sealed the top—and when I stepped back, it looked beautiful. From that moment on, I was hooked. The idea that I could take something old, worn out, and often unusable, and turn it into something beautiful and functional again—that’s what excites me.
After years of working in the corporate world, I found that refinishing furniture gave me a creative outlet I didn’t even know I needed. Since then, I’ve refinished and sold countless pieces through social media, word of mouth, and right here in my own community. Over time, more and more people started reaching out to ask if I could breathe new life into their furniture too.
I built this site for a few reasons:
To showcase some of the transformations I’ve completed.
To help people see the value in restoring older furniture instead of replacing it—it’s often more meaningful, more economical, and definitely more sustainable.
So before you toss out that old piece, give me a shout. Let’s bring it back to life and make it beautiful again!
Beautiful Wooden Flags
I first started making wooden flags out of simple boredom one day. The very first was an American flag, and before long I was creating custom versions as gifts for friends and family. Eventually, I added sports-themed designs, and the response was incredible—soon people were reaching out asking me to make flags for them, too.
Each flag is crafted from quality pine wood, then carefully burned, painted, and sealed to last indoors or outdoors. Today, I use a CNC machine to create crisp, detailed cuts and designs (though you may notice some photos below of earlier, hand-carved flags from before I upgraded my process). Every flag comes ready to hang with hardware already installed—just pick the perfect spot on your wall.
The standard flag size is about 19.5” x 36”, though exact dimensions may vary slightly to keep the proportions visually balanced. Custom sizes are also available—whether you’d like something larger or smaller, just let me know.
